Engine 55-1 carries a wide range of rescue tools and responds first due on all Motor Vehicle Accidents, Rescue Calls, Medical Assist Calls and Certain Public Assist Calls. This engine is also utilized as a Transfer piece when asked to transfer to other fire stations that have hydrant covered or hydrant heavy areas.
